Your Dove

Here is a little poem I've been working on for you. I showed this to a friend here in the drop-in who is a very lovely woman that attended Cambridge University. She is a great woman with vision problems and just few minor issues, as many of us have. when I mentioned that I thought there was a line that needed revising, she immediately made me promise to keep it as it is... twice. So here it is, I hope you enjoy and may you have a very happy Jesus day! May God bless you and yours this season.
P.S: Sorry, bit of a rush to get it out, had to change it after looking at it here on the site a couple days later. She may have been from C.U. but that was probably some time ago and like I said, we all have issues that get the best of us from time to time. Besides what does those Cambridgians know about poetry anyway. (disclaimer * if you just happen to be from Cambridge U. my apologize... what do I know about humor?)
Be sure to check out the links at the bottom and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, I did...      God bless you all.

Your Dove

Just what am I to say
To relay you a love
That has not the display
Due humility the Father

Hold not my head high
For in the heart
There’s been another
The enemies’ sharp dart
A snare for my brother

I love you… I,
I love you my Lord
Yet deed such the less
Oh the song that I sing
A stain upon my dress

My heart cries out more
To ear discipline on sin
Yet be all that you ask
Falling short of such win

I live melancholy my Lord
Falling to only one knee
Stretching thin your great love
Thru the children I see

With not to show in linger
Barring ink scarred papers
Wrath, rest not your finger
Faith no longer tapers

Thank you my God
My only one true love
Forgiving regardless
And for sending your Dove

Festival

This little poem is something I cooked up while attending Edmonton's annual Folk festival, You can read all about it in " Folkfest".

Festival

Set makes its song
So echoes celebration
Crashes partial to calm
Searching out exhilaration

Thrashing, bashing and harassing
Fleeting beating so greeting

Those familiar to remote interact
Till slapping digits do sound
Does wanting rhythm accept
Its reciprocal love profound

I met an Angel

I met an Angel

A group came to visit us here in Edmonton from Oklahoma to share Gods word and just fellowship. We had a good time talking and I even got up to do karaoke for the first time in my life with the aid from a young lad from this group. We sang "arms wide open" by creed and
needless to say, we sounded great! Well, I did anyway...lol. I am so grateful to the Father for allowing me to have so much fun this summer, I'll tell you more about it later but for now let me tell you about another member of this lovely group from our neighboring country. A teenage girl with a couple of fellows came  upon me while I was relaxing in the shade of a tree and asked if I was willing to tell them a part of my story to post on some album or something, I agreed so this girl set about to taking notes, I missed getting her name but she was a pretty young lady who has such an uplifting smile. I met up with them later that evening at the Mustard Seed for supper and came up with an gift idea so this little angel would have something to remember her visit to us by. She absolutely loved it.

A Sisters Smile

Love is a gift
Freely given, our Lord
Your smile a gift too
Given easily, not hard

Openly you share
Loves gift to others
I thank God for your smile
His smile for our brothers

Do you know what you do?
What you do for those in dire
A smile sparks up life
And so quenches fire

So remember my sister
In Christ it’s the same
Wherever in the world
Just call out His name

Hey Chum

And I hope you like this poem as well...

Hey Chum

Brian my friend
May I name you here thus
For have not we hung hats
Neath such similar truss

   Amigo awake
Ascend heart and mind
                                                 Seek the God-man hence past
                         Present Spirit near hind

          Goad ones we love
          To follow our plight
          Pleasant voice, ear to Him
          The One, purity white

          So holy that place
          That palace He bought
           A price we did forfeit
          Salvation He doth wrought

          Allow me, oh pal
                   My brother in Christ
               Relay you a gift
A prayer I then do lift

    To God I plead earnest
A prosperity for you
  His wisdom we do learnist
Our minds to renew

When rocking chair come
Hope is, I look near
To call out "Hey chum,
can you pass me a beer?”
